No Fun
The name leaves no accounting for taste, but hopefully the same can't be said of the sangria and Mediterranean-influenced bites at this LES tapas bar.

No fun? Try so fun.

Bad puns aside, No Fun is a great LES spot for a night out. It's definitely a go to on the LES bar-hopping scene, so be prepared for a lot of very drunk 20 somethings and a line. However, No Fun manages to keep its cool factor without being pretentious or grimy. The bartenders do an amazing job of keeping up with the hordes, and are very polite and surprisingly unfrazzled by the crowds.

This is a great place to go if you want to dance - I can't say the DJ spins anything particularly novel, but it's still awesome for dancing. Non happy hour drinks are standardly overpriced for New York, but happy hour is a great money saving bet with drinks running around $4. No Fun has a solid place in many people's bar rotation for a good reason - would recommend!

This is a popular spot on the LES for weekend nights, so be prepared for a line if you're hitting up the Saturday night scene but it's totally worth the wait.

The music is awesome and the back room gets packed with people dancing and the front bar area is loud, but doable for chatting with friends. Drinks are on the more expensive side of average, with a well drink running about $10 and a beer around $8. Go early, snag a table in the back and stake your claim and dance the night away.

Love this bar, and the drinks are very cheap during happy hour. It's a great place for drinking and dancing, and the bartenders are always very friendly! One even taught me the two-step :)  I've been here a thousand times and always have a great time. Just as a heads up though, the bouncers can get a little rough with guests (even over things like standing in a straight line for the bathroom) and aren't afraid to push you aside, which can be sort of off-putting, so just be prepared for that on busy nights.

This bar is pretty random but has always served me well! It actually does a good and realistic happy hour, in that it doesn’t end before you’ve even had a chance to get out of work!I think it runs until around 9pm, longer if the barman happens to be in the mood, and it was around $4 for drafts and well, so decent value. It gets hectic later on weekend nights so I tend to prefer being there for after work as you can get served quickly and don’t have to contend with lines and the crazy weekend LES crowd
