Just enter Riverside Park at West 72nd Street and walk down a couple of blocks, and you’ll find this modest riverfront bar that the locals have been keeping a secret. Two heavy-duty grills and a few dozen small tables are all you’ll need—and all there is. The beer and wine list may be pedestrian ($5 Corona, Stella, Sam Adams Summer Ale and $6 glasses of Columbia Valley pinot grigio), but not so the Hudson views.

I absolutely love this place. It's right on the pier, which provides beautiful views of the river and makes the scene very peaceful. The system they have (no waiter service) is great for large groups, and if you go early you can easily find several tables to put together. They have good burgers and fries and a large selection of unique drinks. Many of these drinks are also sold in pitchers, which also makes it great for groups. They also have a water dispenser outside, so there's no need to buy bottled water. You can also stay as long as you'd like - you'll never get kicked out for sitting there after you finish your meal or drinks!
