The crew behind downtown drinks den the Randolph at Broome debuts its sophomore project: a 2,200-square-foot craft-beer hall. Channeling cross-country Americana, the 60-seat tavern is outfitted with Ford Model T headlights and reclaimed materials from all over the map—booths and tables were constructed from a 50-foot oak tree from Maine, planks from a 100-year-old Kentucky tobacco barn form the bar, and Dumbo sidewalk pavers cover the bar top. Brewhounds can choose 36 craft drafts pulled from 48 tap lines, which were custom-built to serve different styles of beer at their ideal temperature. The selection highlights mostly American breweries (Founders, Left Hand, Barrier), plus noteworthy imports (Belgium's Brouwerij, the U.K.'s Samuel Smith, Denmark's Mikkeller). Offset the suds with refined pub grub, including beer-battered oysters, maple-and-bacon brussels sprouts, and a wild-mushroom pasta spiced with cumin and coriander.

Hop heads rejoice. Randolph is a great spot for 2 reasons.

1: Their reserve draft menu is one of the most impressive ones around. If you're really into beer (which I am, so I may be biased) you definitely have to check this one out. Many of the choices I haven't seen anywhere else.

2: You can do a... *gulp*... "boozy brunch" without feeling like a sissy. The vast majority of brunch places offer little beyond the standard watered-down mimosa and Bloody Mary. While you're more than welcome to order those as well, Randolph's brunch also includes any one of 5 different craft beers (a cider, a pils, a hefe, an IPA, and an amber ale). So you and the guys can get your brunch on without feeling the need to rip out each other's chest hair to reclaim your masculinity afterwards.

Oh and I almost forgot. Two words: BREAKFAST. NACHOS.
