The same aesthetic that works so well at Boat and Great Lakes (same owners) is in play here, with votive candles, found art, comfy couches and a killer jukebox. No fancy libations, just eight beers on tap, eight more in bottles, and the standard wines and liquor. Still, the bar has the same clientele as its flashier neighbor Quench: folks who listen to classic Gen-X sounds and gab on the latest 65k-color cell phones. Games like Clue and Yahtzee are on hand but don’t get much use; at the Roxy, simpler pleasures take center stage.
