Royal Oak (CLOSED)

The handmade wallpaper and tile floor, complete with an inlaid B for Brooklyn, were installed by the group of friends who built the lounge with the promise of booze, a job and a place (behind the aqua-tiled bar) to mount portraits of their grandparents. Open about a year, the three-room, 2,500-square-foot haunt has already become the spot for birthdays in the ’hood. The spacious back room is reserved for music, via either DJs, patrons (karaoke) or live bands.
