Seven Bar and Grill

Two separate scenes unspool here: In the dark wood-paneled bar, the postwork, pre-LIRR guys get rowdy over pints of Guinness under weirdly elaborate chandeliers. Upstairs, the blandly sedate dining room dishes out shareable appetizers, grills, salads and pasta. Baby arugula salad, fresh fish platters and a satisfying grilled rib-eye sandwich topped with caramelized onions make up for the somewhat sterile environment.
