Nightlife impresarios Thierry Pomies and Peggy Millard (Pink Elephant, Hudson Terrace) are behind this bi-level 5,000-square-foot bar in the Fairfield Inn and Suites hotel. Grab a cocktail on the north terrace, featuring a retractable glass roof, or on the fully exposed south terrace. Cocktails—including the Dragon Flight, made with dragon-fruit–flavored rum, muddled strawberries, club soda and lime—should help settle your stomach once you realize you're boozing in a chain hotel in Times Square.

I went to Sky Room this past Saturday and had a great time! There was a pretty long line, but thanks to a promoter my friends and I got to go in without waiting! Not only that, but we didn't have to spend any money either! He was able to get us a table with bottle service! The bar was awesome, my friends and I had so much fun, and definitely plan on going back! If you want to contact the promoter, his name is Indi Romero and you can reach him from the Joonbug website or Facebook!
I came to this place with my company party, it was a nice event... I purchased additional drinks paying with my credit cards, my total was $22 + I gave the bartender $6 tip, which brings up my total to $28. I checked my credit card statement yesterday , I got charged $34 on my credit cards for 2 coctails! NICE TIP taken out of my card! I will never use my card there again! RIP OFF
I went to Sky Room because I was curious about the view, which was only ok, definitely not the best. The place had a weird kind of douche-y wannabe Miami vibe. There was a bouncer in a fedora outside too, which is never a good sign, especially not at 6pm. My friend and I only stayed for two beers before jetting to another bar. If you go during happy hour, beers are decently priced (they were $7 or so each.) An ok option if you're staying in the hotel I guess (which is a nice enough seeming Fairfield Inn) but don't go out of your way to go here.
This place is beautiful with great interior design, great furniture, and a fantastic view of Midtown BUT that's about it.
The drinks are waaaaaay over priced, the crowd is soooo boring. Just a bunch of young suits that are trying to have a good time but doesn't really bring the party. There is great DJ, bottle service, and a bar, but there is not enough space for dancing and circulation. I was climbing over bodies and furniture to exit the building. Fire Hazard.
Everyone wants to party on the roof and no one wants to hang out in the lounge. Bottle service there is sooooo overrated.
I visited Sky Room after seeing their Travel Zoo deal on Time Out which consisted of cocktails and apps for two people at $39. I couldn’t pass that up! It was still somewhat chilly when we went so we didn’t sit on the couches outside, but we could see the view through the windows and it was spectacular. The inside was dimly lit and they had a DJ playing some awesome classic 90s R&B. There was also a class reunion going on, so don’t know if that was the reason for the choice of music, but I appreciated it. The cocktails were really good. They offer something for everyone. My date got a whiskey cocktail and I ordered a super girly fruity drink, and we were both satisfied. For the appetizers, we got the calamari and Vietnamese chicken satay. Both tasty but I preferred the views and cocktails.
