Goldbar, Sweetwater Social, Mr. Jones—that’s but a few of the popular boîtes on the résumé of Shaun Rose, who partners with Noah Weinstein for this Meatpacking District bar-restaurant in the building that houses Del Posto and Colicchio & Sons. At the blue-tiled bar, the New York natives pay tribute to their hometown with cocktails like the Concrete Jungle (Kappa pisco, Aperol, raspberry, grapefruit beer and salt) and the Highline Park Sour (Elijah Craig bourbon, Grand Marnier, Campari, amontillado sherry, ginger and lemon) off a menu created by a triple-threat cocktail team that includes Tim Cooper (GoldBar), Eryn Reece (Death & Co.) and Leo Degroff (Sweetwater Social). There’s a big gun in the kitchen, too: wd~50 and Alder alum Jon Bignelli, who turns out bar snacks like house-made soft pretzels with apple mustard a selection of skewers (pork with pineapple, shrimp with green curry), and larger plates like an aged rib eye with succotash.
