Co-owner John Grippo opened this beer-lover’s bar (most patrons guzzle Stella, but a Sam Adams seasonal is always one of the 12 brews on draft) as a resurrection of his family’s old dive on Columbus Avenue. To say this place has decor is an overstatement; Sonny Boy just hauled the old man’s antique equipment north (to accompany the old-timey manual-key cash register that came with the place).
