Takes a bit of a trek to make it to the rooftop, but as long as you either made reservations, don't care if you fight for a place to sit or stand, or just want a glimpse of the view, it's mostly worth the cost. The setting and atmosphere is appropriately luxe, with a lot of pretty people, and okay actual service. The prices are extravagant (expensive by any standard), without any real justification (real estate), but ultimately this can be said of many venues in the vicinity of Times Square. Food and drinks are aesthetically pleasing, but lack real substance. Overall, it can be worth it just for the views, but by that same token, lacks a lot of differentiation for the price point.

I work in an office nearby, and almost all of our events and gatherings have taken place at skylark since it opened. We have always been impressed with their high level of service and attention to detail, and the food is absolutely DELICIOUS! (The sliders - omg.) On an individual level I probably wouldn't visit often, as it is a bit pricey (but hey, it's a rooftop bar with amazing views, that's what you're really paying for!), but it does set a great scene and you won't be disappointed with anything you order (They make really decent cocktails too!)
