Tír na nÓg Irish Bar and Grill

Never again let anyone say there aren’t any good bars near Penn Station. This Irish pub is a cut above, with a handsome interior (two bar areas and a dining room) and a clientele to match. (The name means “land of eternal youth,” but the commuter and MSG crowd is a little more varied than that.) Nary a panel of wood or glass isn’t intricately detailed in Celtic patterns; many of these elements have been salvaged from Irish castles and cathedrals. You might pair a glass before or after the game with such American fare as oven-roasted cod.

This upscale Irish pub provides that warm and cheerful Irish hospitality alongside great American food. Tir na Nog is just a short walk from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden, so it’s the perfect spot to grab a bite and some drinks either before or after your event. The menu is quite eclectic with items such as vegetable spring rolls, Moroccan spices rack of lamb, and Irish bangers and mash. You will also find a great beer selection with local draft beers, Irish and Belgian drafts. They are open for weekend brunch, lunch and can accommodate private parties and events. Slainte!
