Love this bar in West Village. Relaxed vibe, decent cocktails, great selection of draft beers and most importantly they play great tunes!

While I can't speak to a standard night at the crowded bar, I can absolutely rave about if and when you're lucky enough to score the semi-private back area featured above.

I assembled on a Saturday with friends and an extended group and drank and ate in the back nook well past when we went to leave for the next bar. The waitress was super friendly and split the bill perfectly, which is especially helpful in a large group.

Pro tip: be careful in the bathroom, especially if you've had one too many. It's easy to feel as though you got locked in, which is exactly why there's a guy monitoring the bathroom.

This was a bar I loved when I first moved to NY 5 years ago!It has definitely changed a little since then, weekend evenings tend to be pick up scene central with over eager guys in there for one reason and one reason only BUT, if you happen to catch it on one of the quieter days/nights it is still a good place to go!The bar staff are fantastic and the setting is cool, the food is great (scotch egg, fries and grilled cheese in particular!) and their brunch is pretty great too!
