With the brand-new DUMBO Boulders and soon-to-open ONE°15 Brooklyn Marina, there will be more things to do in Brooklyn Bridge Park this summer than ever before! Here are 10 of the most exciting activities that you can take advantage of in the famed waterfront park over the next five months.

1. Hit up the Dumbo Family Festival
Main Street Park and John Street Park; April 23, 11am
You and your family can explore nature at the Environmental Education Center, hit up a family dance party, decorate a replica of the Brooklyn Bridge with flowers and more at this fun, all-ages event.

2. Take in UNDERSTANDING
Pier 6; May 4-October 23
The Public Art Fund is presenting this work of art on Pier 6 this summer. It's a 25-foot-tall rotating ruby red neon sculpture by one of the most acclaimed contemporary artists from Britain.

3. Listen to some Summer Reading Storytime
Pier 3 Greenway Terrace; Tuesdays June 7-August 9, 10:30am
Wake up early and listen to librarians from the Brooklyn Heights branch of the Brooklyn Public Library read aloud from their summer reading lists and more.

4. See performances at the Metropolitan Opera’s Summer Recital Series
Pier 1; June 24, 7pm
The popular summer tradition returns with a concert full of favorite arias and duets. This year's recital will feature Met artists Angel Blue, Ben Bliss and Alexey Lavrov.

5. Catch a flick with Movies With A View
Pier 1; Thursdays July 7-August 25, 6pm
Now in its 17th season, the Brooklyn Bridge Park's movie series is back once again this summer. You can check out the full line-up here.

6. Watch Gibney Dance
Pier 1; Saturdays July 9-30, 7pm
Join Gibney Dance for sunset performances on the river, classes on the grass and more waterfront dance happenings.

7. Appreciate some Books Beneath the Bridge
Granite Prospect; Mondays July 11-August 15, 7pm
Six of Brooklyn's best independent bookstores (Freebird Bookstore, Word, powerHouse Arena, Community Bookstore Park Slope, Greenlight Bookstore and Bookcourt) have each curated a night of readings, discussions and signings on Saturdays in July and August.

8. Take in a free show thanks to All The Park’s A Stage
Pier 1; August 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 7pm
The New York Classical Theatre will be presenting free performances of The Winter's Tale among the lawns and landscape of Pier 1.

9. Brooklyn Americana Music Festival
Pier 6; September 24-25, 2pm-8pm
The Brooklyn Americana Festival is back again this summer with live performances from traditional country, folk, roots, blues, old time, and bluegrass artists.  

10. Take a dip in the Pop-Up Pool
Daily; June 29 through Labor Day, 10am-6pm
Cool off in the Brooklyn Bridge Park Pop-Up Pool. The 30 by 50 foot pool also includes a sandy beach as well as play area and food and drinks from Lizzmonade.
