Fri 30

Jack White + Run with Jewels; Madison Square Garden, Midtown West, 10pm. $30–$65.
Hear the musically-gifted workaholic work his magic at this Madison Square Garden victory lap.

John Waters, "Beverly Hills John"; Marianne Boesky Gallery, Chelsea, 10am. Free.
The king-of-bad-taste strikes again—this time as a visual artist. His latest show features self-portraits that show what he'd look like if he'd ever subjected himself to Joan Rivers-levels of plastic surgery.

Winter Carnival at Bryant ParkBank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park, Midtown West, 12pm. Free.
Winter is here and it ain’t leaving anytime soon. Might as well enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and learn how to curl at this icy fest. Hey, sounds like a pretty great way to pass the time to us!

Sat 31

Video Games Live; Beacon Theater, Upper West Side, 8pm. $42–$67.
Listen to arrangements of nostalgic tunes performed by a live orchestra and chorus while watching video clips of the games. We're geeking out over this one!

The Pink Room: David Lynch Burlesque's 4th Annual Miss Twin Peaks Pageant; Joe's Pub at the Public Theater, Greenwich Village, 11:30pm. $18.
It's a sexy burlesque (metaphorical) battle to the death in tribute to David Lynch, featuring The Pink Room's Francine.

Whitney Cummings; Carolines on Broadway, Midtown West, 7:30pm. $46 plus two-drink minimum.
Cummings, a former Chelsea Lately regular, sidesteps the merely spunky with the aid of a tart tongue and enough vitriol to knock down all idiots she encounters.

Catz N Dogz + Heidi + El_Txef_A; Verboten, Williamsburg, 11pm. TBA, advance $20.
Dog tired of your work week? Cat got your tongue? Dance your cares away with Catz ’n Dogz’s Grzegorz Demianczuk and Wojciech Taranczuk.

Sugarcube; South Street Seaport, Financial District, 12pm, 4pm. Free.
Waltz into this pop-up art space that definitely looks like a lump of sugar for a free performance by avant garde jazz group, the Sun Ra Arkestra.

Sun 1

Zombie Escape Bucket List Productions, Midtown West, various times. $28.
Yeah, you thought you were tough until you stood in a room full of 11 other "daredevils" trying to break free from a bloodthirsty zombie attached to a (not-so-strong) chain in just one hour. THIS IS NOT A GAME. Okay, it is a game, but you get what we mean.

Super Bowl XLIX PartyThe Bell House, Gowanus, 5:30pm. Free.
Join fellow patriots in the 49-year-old American tradition, or just booze out with your friends while some really dramatic TV show blares in the background. Why are they wearing shoulder pads again?

First Sundays; Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Crown Heights,  10am–4:30pm. Free.
Learn traditional hula dancing, browse sustainable Swedish items at Gudrun Sjödén Pop-up Shop, or pick a number of other fun, eco-friendly events that will give you peace of mind that you're doing something nice for Mother Earth at this weekly series.
