A 1,000-foot water slide may actually be coming to New York this August

The dream slides on.

After first hearing about Slide the City’s plans to bring a 1,000-foot slip ‘n slide to New York back in January, we had our doubts it could be done. But according to Curbed, the group is going ahead with planning the event while it tries to obtain some final city permits. Cross your fingers and start shopping for a one-piece bathing suit, New York.

The Slide The City site already has an NYC hub page where you can peruse ticket prices from $15-$60 depending on if you want to go down the slide once, three times or all goddamn day because that’s just how you roll. In the past, the company’s held events in Salt Lake City, Boise, Fountain Hills, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach and you can check out some photos from those events below.

Maybe they could sell a couple arepas at the end and call it a street fair?
