A heat advisory has been issued for New York today

Oh hey, did you know it’s hot outside in New York? In case you’ve been living under a cool, air-conditioned rock, the National Weather Service has just issued a heat advisory for today until 7pm. It states that this week’s heat wave is going to make it feel like it’s at least 95 degrees out for the next two days. Today technically has a high of “only” 91 degrees, but yes, it does feel so much worse because of this awful humidity.

As we plunge deeper into the nine circles of summer hell, stay cool with the summer’s newest ice cream flavors—may we suggest the chocolate rose gelato?—and steer clear of the hottest subway stations. It’s a scorcher out there.
