All the bands coming to the new Coney Island Amphitheater this summer

The initial lineup for the new concert venue in Coney Island has been announced, and there's plenty to be excited about. You can look forward to beach-side shows by R&B iconoclast Erykah Badu, alt-rock mainstays Jane's Addiction, reunited cabaret-pop duo Dresden Dolls, and former Police and Genesis singers Sting & Peter Gabriel (note, their only other NYC date is at the already sold out, much larger Madison Square Garden). A quick recap on the space: the new venue is a 5,000-seat amphitheater located on the Coney Island boardwalk. In other words, an ideal place to be singing along to "Boys of Summer" as the sun sets on a September night. The upcoming schedule also includes nights dedicated to reggae, '80s freestyle music and lots of nostalgic rock & roll, as well as a performance by Hollywood Vampires, the Alice Cooper/Joe Perry/Johnny Depp "supergroup."

@Stacey F I agree.  What happened to Marty's free concerts?  These prices are obscene!
