Yes, you read that right: Brooklyn's madcap ice cream shop Ample Hills will float across the river to debut its second Manhattan location within Bubby's High Line on Gansevoort Street early this May. While details remain sparse, DNAinfo reports that, like the outposts in Gowanus, Prospect Heights and the Gotham West Market, this location will offer around 14 flavors, including five exclusive varieties. Though not yet finalized, speculated flavors include brunch-related creations and a possible collaboration with comfort-food favorite Bubby's (read: pies).

This announcement comes on the heels of a major $4 million investment deal struck between Ample Hills and Gowanus' seed fund Brooklyn Bridge Ventures last November. That plan included new locations in both Brooklyn and Manhattan (hence, this one), as well as production facility that would package and distribute pints of the frozen goodness across the country.
