BroadwayCon returns in 2017 bigger than ever

This past January the first-ever BroadwayCon took place in midtown during a massive weekend blizzard. But no amount of snow on the ground prevented hordes of Broadway talent and fans from trouping to the Hilton on Sixth Avenue to attend events about all things Great White Way, including a Rent reunion and a panel featuring the cast of Hamilton. Yours truly moderated a panel on—what else?—theater criticism (pictured).

Now the producers of BroadwayCon have revealed plans for the second installment: They're upgrading to the Javits Center, where they hope to attract upwards of 15,000 attendees (that's triple the number of folks who attended this year). The dates are January 27-29 and the roster of talent includes BroadwayCon co-founder Anthony Rapp, Kelli O’Hara, Cynthia Nixon, Christopher Jackson, Christine Ebersole, Santino Fontana, Norm Lewis, Ana Gasteyer, LaChanze, Des McAnuff, Seth Rudetsky, Blake Ross, Jonathan Groff, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Lena Hall, Lisa Howard, Laura Osnes, Lesli Margherita, Alex Brightman, Jenn Colella, Christopher Gattelli, Marc Kudish, Geneva Carr and more to be announced over the coming months. Tickets go on pre-sale to returning attendees April 8 and to the general public April 11.

Tickets, special hotel rates and more information is available at BroadwayCon's site
