Check out lots of FREE dance and fitness classes during NYC Dance Week

It's NYC Dance Week, and the dance and fitness studios of the city are throwing open their doors for free and discounted classes through June 27. There's classes offered at the Ailey Extension, Xtend Barre Brooklyn, East River Pilates Studio, Harlem Dance Club and many more.

Here's how to sign up:

1. Register for free on Eventbrite

2. Check offers from participating studios here (and search classes here)

3. Print out the pass you receive in the registration confirmation e-mail and bring to your class. Depending on the studio, it may be collected but you may print as many times as you want.

Here's five FREE classes you should check out to get your sweat on:

1. Vogue class with Cesar Valentino at the Ailey Extension (free for new students only, see full schedule online)
Students will learn the fundamentals of vogue dancing, classic runway as well as current trends in runway modeling and voguing with special attention paid to its rich history. Each class will begin with a contemporary jazz warm-up, targeting core muscle strength, grace, clean lines, balance and control. Students will learn how to incorporate graceful hand and body movements with Egyptian-like popping, dipping and spinning.

2. Intro tap class at Peridance Capezio Center
Pretend like you're in Thoroughly Modern Millie with a tap class on June 24 at 11am.

3. One­ hour private Argentine tango lesson at Baila Tango
The first ten people (or five pairs) to sign up get a free tango lesson! You must call ahead to make an appointment, and the offer expires July 15.

4. Beginner Afro-fusion at Harlem Dance Club
Taught by founder and artistic director of Universal Dance Movement, Kim Holmes. June 27, 1–3:30pm.

5. Beginner flamenco at Steps on Broadway
Learn the sensuous art of flamenco dance and clap and stomp your day away on June 27 from 4–5:30pm.
