This Saturday, Time Out New York took advantage of near-perfect summer weather under a gorgeous blue sky to host the Ultimate Restaurant Grill Off presented by Bud Light! The sold-out event took place at LIC Landing in Long Island City with nine restaurants (including Colonia Verde, Fat Pig, Dinosaur BBQ, Cheese Grille, Tertulia, BarKogi, Rainhas Churrascaria, Kings of Kobe and Coffeemania) grilling up meat, veggies, fruit and more. Not only did weekend warriors get to eat and drink Bud Light to their hearts’ content, but they got free swag like hats and water bottles, played cornhole, and danced to the beats of DJ Jeronimo while taking in those amazing views of the Manhattan skyline.

Each attendee was able to try one sample from each griller (and sip on complimentary Bud Light along the way), then vote for their favorite. The coveted voters' choice award went to Dinosaur BBQ, which served smoked chicken wings with mustard lockdown sauce. After our esteemed judges panel worked their way through all the options, they too chose a crowned winner of the Judges' Award: Colonia Verde! The restaurant whipped up maple glazed pork belly and grilled arepas with hominy. And finally, the Home Grill Off winner was Heather Janey.
The Ultimate Restaurant Grill Off made us all shout, "Grill, baby, grill!" during one of the loveliest summer days yet. Join us at our next big event!
