An article on Serial's Sarah Koenig appearing in Glamour magazine's November issue appeared online a couple days ago and dropped a big hint: The second season of Serial will start airing sometime next month. Koenig nor anyone else with the Serial camp has actually confirmed when the new season will start or its subject matter, but there's been a whole lot of speculation. So while we're all waited for the new mystery to unravel and listening to other podcasts to keep us sane, here's everything we think we know about the new season so far.

-The new season will focus on the case of Bowe Bergdahl, Maxim reports. Bergdahl was an Army private first class five weeks into his deployment in Afghanistan in 2009 when he left his post "to make a stand." He was quickly captured by a group affiliated with the Taliban and held prisoner for almost five years under torturous circumstances, the Washington Post reports. He's was released in May 2014 when the White House approved a swap of five Taliban prisoners from Guantanamo in exchange for Bergdahl. He's now in the U.S. and being charged with desertion and misbehaving before the enemy (which could carry a punishment of a life sentence), and his case is currently playing out in court.

-Serial's production manager Emily Condon released this statement after several stories about season 2's subject matter came out: "We'd very much appreciate if fellow journalists would give us some room and not feel the need to attempt to dig into and try to figure out what you think we might be doing, especially since we're actively reporting stories, and having a bunch of wild speculation out there makes our job reporting harder. Doesn't feel very menschy. In any case, here's what I can tell you: The Serial staff is currently working on several things simultaneously: Season 2, Season 3, and some other podcast projects. For now we're not talking publicly about anything that we're working on."

-Koenig will tell the story with help, as she did in season one with the Innocence Project. Investigative journalist and screenwriter Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker) and former editor of the New York Times Magazine Hugo Lindgren will report on the project as well.

-Who knows what kind of impact Serial can have on a case? Three weeks after season 1 ended, Adnan Syed, serving a life sentence for the 1999 murder of his ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee, was granted an appeal.

-We are all going to be completely addicted to the new season, just like we were for the first season!
