George Takei is coming to Broadway! A new musical, called Allegiance, will make its debut this fall, and is inspired by Takei's family's experience during World War II. Before the show opens (previews start October 6 at the Longacre Theatre), Takei's team is producing a web series that goes behind the scenes of the process of producing the musical. Episode 1 of George Takei: Trek to Broadway deals with the long road to secure a venue on Broadway, and Episode 2 checked in on auditions. Below, we've got an exclusive sneak peak at Episode 3, which deals with photo shoots, marketing strategy and the development of the musical’s artwork. Check it out.
It’s out like a senator in an airport bathroom. Episode 3 of my Trek To Broadway, friends, even has my eyes wet with tears as I watch a dream come true. I just wish my parents could have seen this.
