Even as New York City dives into its first heat wave of the summer, the pleasures of the long Fourth of July weekend have never seemed farther away. Mathematically, that holds up—the next hot-dog-and-fireworks-filled holiday won't come for another 360-odd days. One thing that's been easing the weekly Sunday-Monday transition for a few years now is the Mister Sunday daytime dance party. This year the disco-house-funk-etc. shindig moved to a new home at Nowadays along the Bushwick-Ridgewood border, where it takes place every Sunday through the summer. While you wait for the weekend to come, resident DJs Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin released a mix from Mister Sunday's June 26th edition to help with the midweek blues. Listen, below.
