Free music coming this summer to a Williamsburg patio near you

The annual Summer Thunder series returns to Williamsburg watering hole/hookup bar Union Pool, bringing free afternoon concerts to its outdoor patio. What's the deal exactly? Bands, starting at 2pm, for 6 Saturdays this summer, running the gamut from swinging avant-jazz collective Sun Ra Arkestra to local post-punks Wall. We're not sure what the pickup scene will be like during daylight hours but at least the these bands won't kick you out of bed at 7am when they have to go to work.
