It’s National Lovers Day! Or, er, at least according to Revlon Cosmetics it is. In honor of the romantic “holiday,” and Revlon’s latest campaign, the beauty brand recently teamed up with online dating site, Zoosk, to find out how men and women feel about the combination of makeup and dating.
It’s no secret that most women love to get dolled up (especially on date night), and 60 percent of men say they prefer a woman to use makeup to highlight her best features. But you know what we think? Who gives a rat’s ass what your date has to say—you wear that freaking awesome lipstick for you, girl.
If you want to check out some of the latest beauty loot on the market, Revlon set up a pop-up shop in Times Square—at 43rd St—where experts will be providing free makeovers, consultations and manicures until 9pm. Hit up the TRY ME sample bar to nail down your color palette and after you get fully glamified, take a picture by Revlon’s photo wall. Social your images using the hastag #LOVEISON and you might be featured on the Global Love Beacon screen in Times Square. Hello, five seconds of fame!
