Most of you are probably already hours into your day of binge-eating, movie-watching and wine-drinking, but just in case you were thinking of traipsing about this winter wonderland today: Starting at 2:30, a travel ban goes into effect in NYC and on Long Island, and commuter trains and elevated subway trains will stop at 4. (Apparently the plows can't keep up with the snow. C'mon, plows! You're from New York! Where's your scrappiness?!?)

Mayor De Blasio says they're monitoring the snow and a full travel ban could go into effect later today, so stay tuned. If you forgot that bag of Baked Lays or need another six-pack, now's the time, New York. Otherwise, be safe, stay warm and enjoy watching all that pretty stuff from inside!

(If you need any further convincing, here's the latest update on the subways. So, y'know, DON'T GO ANYWHERE!)
