Guess what? The rudest city in the U.S. is actually not New York

New York is the greatest city in the world—of course, we’re biased—but the good people who inhabit Gotham always get a bad rap. Why? Because apparently we’re perceived as “rude” by out-of-towners. Obviously, New Yorkers know this is all just a bunch of bullshit.

Nonetheless, Travel + Leisure generated another “Rudest City in America” survey, and the outcome is shocking. In 2015, the Big Apple was voted as being the emperor of rudeness, but we scored the third slot this year.

So, are you wondering which not-so-friendly city was voted number one? (Pause for the proverbial drumroll). Miami! It’s hard to imagine how anyone could be so moody while partying and gallivanting in paradise. But according to Travel + Leisure, the spot has a high snob rate.

Well, congratulations Miami! Consider the rude torch officially passed (we’ll happily give it to you, extra politely).
