It's freezing outside, so let's warm up your psyche with spring bike riding news! Registration for the 38th Annual TD Five Boro Bike Tour opens Tuesday at noon next week! Yes, on Sunday May 3, you could be one of more than 32,000 cyclists from around the world rolling 40 miles on vehicle-free streets through every NYC borough.

The TD Five Boro Bike Tour is fueled by Bike New York, the country's largest non profit bike education program. Speaking of education, you can start training for the tour now with Bike New York through some of its ongoing classes, including Bike Path Cruise Ride, a 2-3 hour group course where you can bring your own bike or borrow one. And don't forget the Bike Expo New York on May 1-2 where you can stock up on all your cycling needs before the big day.

Registration is $92 and if you're feeling fancy, VIP is $325 and gets you guaranteed placement in the first start wave of the tour—or you can volunteer for free. If you missed it (or punked out) on the ride last year, now's your chance to join in before these coveted spots sell out. Bike on, friends, bike on.
