Yeah, it sucks to admit it, but summer is almost at an end. The realization had us down in the dumps, too—until we remembered that if summer's wrapping up, that means fall is right around the corner. Autumn is one of the best times of year to be in New York City, and this year is shaping up to be better than most. We've rolled together a list of amazing things to do as the weather turns cool, with the tastiest food and drink festivals, nerdy (and not-so-nerdy) ways to enjoy Comic Con, the best and brightest of fall TV and cinema, and the gut-busting-est comedy events in town.

In addition to our guide to the coolest events of the fall, we've got interviews with some of the hottest artistic talents in the world—Shepard Fairey (who designed our cover), Margot Robbie and Yo La Tengo—as well as a look at 10 cool courses that'll teach you everything from coding to parkour to drunken painting. Seriously, that's a thing.

And, of course, on top of all that, we've got a comprehensive lineup of next week's happenings—so basically, this issue has everything you need to plan out the next few months of your life here in NYC. And all for the low, low price of—yup, still free.
