Fans of Marvel Comics should prep their stomachs for a ramen feast that is bursting with superpowers! Ippudo, one of the best spots for noodles and broth in the city, is hosting an Avengers-themed pop-up next Thursday and Friday for your geeky dining pleasure. Spoiler: You don’t want to miss it.
Grub Street reports that the West 51st Street location is concocting “Interactive Ramen” on both days at 5pm inside a “secret second floor Ramen Bar.” The dishes vary in ingredients, which are apparently comparable to the personalities of Iron Man, The Hulk and, er, the others. The only catch is chef Fumihiro Kanegae will only make 40 bowls per day, so you can expect rainbow bagel-type lines and severe hunger pains during the long wait. (No reservations).
However, a bowl does come with perks—beverage pairings and a free T-shirt designed by Marvel artist Matthew Waite—so that's enough for any diehard ramen fan, right?
