We know that James Murphy's LCD Soundsystem crew would be reuniting for Coachella this year—and coming to NYC to headline Panorama Music Festival in July. But it turns out the band will be playing its hometown even sooner, visiting Webster Hall for two shows this weekend, on Sunday, March 27 and Monday March 28. Tickets will be sold via lottery, which can apply for here; anyone who's already purchased a three-day Panorama pass as of March 23 is automatically entered.

These gigs will be the first time the band has played since April 2, 2011, when they performed at Madison Square Garden for their farewell show (documented in Shut Up and Play the Hits). Back then our LCD Soundsystem at MSG review expressed some well-founded skepticism that this would be that last we'd see of the band, before declaring "the show was a success that surpassed even the grandiose hype and massive expectation level projected upon it."
