March Madness is coming to Barclay's

Move over, Nets—College basketball is coming to Brooklyn. Yesterday, the NCAA announced that Barclay’s Center will be hosting first- and second-round March Madness games. Sadly, the move comes too late for this season, but beginning in 2016, the best college teams from around the country will be competing in our own Brooklyn backyard. The live action should make even the saddest bracket a little more exciting.

Though we’ll have to endure this March without watching the tournament in person, there’s lots of live basketball to come: In 2017 and 2018, Barclays will also host the Atlantic Coast conference tournament. In the mean time, college sports fans can get their fix at these great basketball viewing spots, or at one of our favorite sports bars, and revel in the fact that Brooklyn has officially become a basketball headquarters. MSG, what’s that?
