Who you gonna call?

If you’re looking to put together an all-female reboot of one of the most quintessential New York comedies, then apparently it’s four of the funniest women working today. Most of them with NYC ties, themselves.

Variety has learned that Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones are all currently in negotiations to star in the Ghostbusters reboot which focuses on a new generation of urban ghost exterminators (other than that, plot details have been kept pretty quiet). Melissa McCarthy has already signed on for the film.

New Yorkers McKinnon and Jones can both currently be seen on Saturday Night Live, where Wiig famously got her start.

Director Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat) tweeted the photo below of the four women this afternoon, which makes us think the casting of the comedic quartet is pretty solid. Whether or not the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man signs on to reprise his role, however, remains to be seen.
