A tribute to one of the county's best (and reliably intense) actors has been installed at Socrates Sculpture Park in Queens.
Monument to Walken, as the piece by artist Bryan Zanisnik is titled, consists of a number of concrete cast busts of the distinctive actor. There's also a comic on display nearby that depicts the Queens native's history in the neighborhood.
The installation is part of Socrates Sculpture Park's Emerging Artist Fellowship Exhibition which is displaying the work of 15 young artists at different locations in the park until March 13. The fifteen artists were chosen from hundreds of candidates and have been working on their installations since June.
