If you’re looking to celebrate Irish culture today in a way that doesn’t involve being thrown out of a bar at 4pm, then the Irish Arts Center has you covered. 

Beginning at 7am this morning, and lasting until supplies run out, the cultural organization is handing out free books by Irish and Irish-American writers.

Volunteers are currently standing by at 11 locations across all five boroughs distributing the free tomes from authors including Samuel Beckett, Emma Donoghue, Colum McCann, Oscar Wilde and more. (See the full list here.)

Southwest corner of 110th Street and Lexington Avenue, 6 Train

Christopher Street stop on the 1 train at Sheridan Square and 4th Street
