It’s about to go down. The spectacular Manhattanhenge returns tonight and tomorrow, and the powers that be realized the sunset is such a big deal that it’s worth keeping Roosevelt Island Park open past 7pm for the first time ever.

Tomorrow, about 500 viewers will be allowed into the park (it’s free, but you have to RSVP here), where there will also be live music from Mitch Frohman Latin-Jazz Quartet and food, beer and wine at the Katchkie Farm Food Station. Members of Four Freedoms Park Conservancy get two free drinks.

At 8:20pm, head to the park (or the other best spots to watch), push past crowds of Instagrammers looking for the perfect photo and start oohing and ahhing.
