What's the best NYC neighborhood to visit if you want to hear jazz? Or hip-hop? Or reggae? Now you can track that, using a live-music heatmap generated by listings website Gigbloc. The results are powered by the site's events, so if you're curious as to why Kaufman Music Center on the Upper West Side is flagged as a hotbed of hip-hop it might have something to do with its recent Ecstatic Music Festival show with rapper Pharoahe Monch.
