With election season in the past and Thanksgiving recently wrapped up, NYC is going all out for Christmas season, with new tree lighting events coming at us every week. Tomorrow, South Street Seaport will host its 33rd annual Tree Lighting ceremony at 6:30pm. The Hallmark Channel-sponsored event will feature a performance from the ukulele-playing, 12 year old winner of America's Got Talent, Grace VanderWaal, along with booming songs from Vy Higginsen's Gospel Choir of Harlem. The event is free, but pack cash: you know you're going to indulge in some of the Seaport District's delicious bites.
