Set to open by 2021, the 20th anniversary of 9/11, the final skyscraper that will rise in the World Trade Center complex is an asymmetrical, stair-like building bounded by Vesey, Fulton, Greenwich and Church streets. The glassy structure, with leafy, green balconies and glassy walls was designed by Danish architect Bjakre Ingels and is set to rise 80 stories and 1,340 feet. (It's replacing a previous diamond-shaped designed by Norman Foster.)
21st Century Fox and News Corp have signed non-binding tenancy agreements for the lower half of the tower so it's looking like the Fox News team will soon be joining their Condé Nast brethren in the mass media exodus downtown.
