Though the stain of MTV and its reality show linger on the Jersey Shore like hot-dog mustard on your favorite shirt, it's really not such a bad place. Beaches, boardwalks, salt-water taffy, the list goes on. Add to that Shadow of the City, a music festival organized by Jack Antonoff (of fun. and Bleachers). It'll be the second year for the one-day Seaside Heights, NJ, fest, which hits the beach Saturday, June 18. The strong, pop-heavy lineup includes English rock band The 1975 (whose latest album debuted at No. 1 in both the US and UK last month), '80s-indebted "Call Me Maybe" singer Carly Rae Jepsen (whose 2015 album, E-MO-TION, was very excellent), indie-popper Shamir Bailey and up-and-coming singer HANA, along with a reunion of Antonoff's former band Steel Train. Tickets are on sale now—and you'll want to start the spray tan regimen ASAP (we kid).
