Queens foodies, rejoice. Restaurant titan Danny Meyer will bestow upon you yet another location of his famed burger-slinging Shake Shack. Joining an in-the-works location at Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst is a Forest Hills expansion at 71-26 Austin Street. Set to open in 2016, the borough's only two standalone locations of Shake Shack will join the existing counters within Citi Field and JFK Airport.
In the meantime, satisfy your patty craving at one of Queens' veritable burger establishments, from Time Out New York Battle of the Burger finalist Twist & Smash'd to homegrown fast-food spot Petey's Burger. But stay tuned to find out when those mouthwatering Shack Stacks and Concretes officially drop in Queens.
