Spend summer Fridays drinking wine and listening to music at the Met

Leave your usual happy hour place behind and head to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for MetFridays

On June 24 and July 22, the Met extends its Friday hours till 9pm and hosts an array of events. On June 24's "Pride" edition, begin the night with a silent dance party with DJs Steve Travolta, Danny Krivit, Olivia Dope and Rekha, followed by a performance from the New York City Gay Men's Chorus, poetry readings and discussions on gender, class and art. July 22's "Extreme Measures" edition features performances from flutist Jay Gandhi as well as gallery chats and live art-making and music. Yes, you can still roam the halls for classic works of art and ancient mummies.

The Cloisters will also celebrate MetFridays till 7:30pm through September 5, with wine and honey tasting and jazz performances. Get into it!
