In today's chapter of New York's ongoing fried bird saga, Momofuku toque David Chang has announced a new, limited-time chicken-finger collaboration with fellow rock-star chef Danny Bowien of Mission Chinese Food fame. Coming off the heels of an equally epic prawn-toast partnership with Daniel Humm, Chang will now offer Mission Chinese Fuku Fingers ($16) at his newly opened Fuku+ counter in the same building as Má Pêche. Each battered strip comes seasoned with Mission's signature Chongqing spice blend and chili oil, and topped with sliced scallions and fried red chilies.

For his part, Bowien will offer a Fuku Finger Crunchy Wrap ($13) at his Lower East Side spot Mission Cantina, building out a crunchy corn tostada base with the zesty frizzled fowl, shredded pepper-jack cheese, Russ & Daughters salmon-skin chicharron, lettuce, tomato, pickled jalapeños, smoked habanero honey and a buttermilk dressing. One dollar from each of the dishes goes towards the nonprofit Edible Schoolyard NYC, partnering with public schools to provide food education to students.
