Remember two weeks ago? Snow was but a distant memory of a memory, L train service seemed like it would last forever and Governor Cuomo was optimistically unveiling his shiny new plans for an improved Penn Station.

Hello from the other side. Part of the initial announcement for the revamp of the busy transit hub/rat dungeon was a declaration that a "request for proposals" would be issued to developers that week, with responses due 90 days after that.

Unfortunately, the request has yet to be issued.

"Lots of people are asking about this, and wondering where the plan is," Maura Moynihan, the daughter of the late U.S. Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, told Politico New York. "Of course we are all desperate to see Penn Station raised from its current despicable condition which punishes every commuter who must brave The Pit—so we are hoping more news from Albany will be forthcoming!"

Fingers crossed!
