The 2017 Tony Award nominations are announced

Nominations for the 2017 Tony Awards were announced this morning by actors Jane Krakowski and Christopher Jackson at a live press conference at Lincoln Center. Among the 2016-17 Broadway productions earning the most nominations were the new musicals Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 (12), Dear Evan Hansen (9), and Come from Away (7) and Groundhog Day (7); the new plays A Doll’s House, Part 2 (8) and Oslo (7); and the revivals Hello, Dolly! (10), Jitney (6), The Little Foxes (6) and Falsettos (5). The Tony Awards ceremony will be held at Radio City Music Hall on June 11, and televised live on CBS at 8pm. Here is a full list of this year's Tony nominees.
