The 7 train is about to ruin your life

Remember how excited you were just a few months ago when the 7 train extension landed at shiny new Hudson Yards? Welp, your euphoria about that particular train is about to take a hit: According to NBC New York, the 7 will be out of service for eight weekends in 2016 (which, to be fair is fewer than usual. But still…annoying). 

The service interruptions are to make capital improvements (like replacing old tracks), so we'll allow it, and on the upside there'll be shuttle service from Times Square to Hudson Yards, as well as buses to Queensboro Plaza, Court Square, Hunters Point Avenue and Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue.
