Guess what, style-obsessed New Yorkers? It’s Fashion Week—but, psh, we probably didn’t have to tell you that.
The men have been killing it on the runway the last few days and women will be strutting at Skylight Clarkson Square, Skylight Moynihan Station and Milk Studios starting this Thursday.
You won’t find as many people-watchers or daredevils trying to sneak into shows as in recent years because news flash: You no longer have to feel like an outsider!
In fact, there are many free and inclusive NYFW events and shows you can actually attend. Hell, you can sign-up to volunteer at Fashion Week, if you’re a true diehard. But if you can’t leave your desk—or if you would like to avoid the cold entirely—Instagram is making it even easier to get a behind-the-scenes look without an official invitation.
We chatted with someone from Instagram about which industry folks and hashtags we should follow for NYFW news and the masters of the app sent us some awesome recommendations.

@the_line_up—If you’re searching for not-so-average street-style pics, you’ll find a unique cast of characters on here.
@rstheory—Who doesn’t love a good collage? This style-savvy Instagrammer creates amazing fashion editorials with vibrant, eye-popping colors.
Hashtags to look out for:
#triplegram: This is a series of three photos designers use to create visual narratives on their feed.
#detailsofnyfw: Consider this hashtag your go-to for an insider’s look at designer collections and detailed shots of craftsmanship.
#runwayinmotion: This hashtag will pull up all of the amazing video content coming out this week.
