1. Listen to the Chuck Braman Jazz Band on the Hudson River
Start your weekend off right with a live jazz concert on Pier 45. Part of Hudson River Park's "Sunset on the Hudson" series, this quintet featuring Bill Mobley on trumpet, Dave Riekenberg on tenor sax, Art Hirahara on piano, Noriko Ueda on bass and Chuck Braman on drums will serenade the after-work crowd as the sun sets on the river. (Pier 45, West Village, 7pm; Free)

2.Watch Goodfellas at Film Forum
To celebrate the 25th anniversary masterpiece of Martin Scorsese's classic gangster film (and, arguably, the most important film of the last 25 years) Film Forum is screening a restored version of the picture. Follow Henry Hill's journey from teenage car parker to drug dealer to government squealer with this "sizzlingly colorful new restoration." (209 W Houston St, Soho, 1pm, 4pm and 7pm; $13)

3. Drink with the animals at the Central Park Zoo
The Central Park Zoo is hosting an after-hours craft beer bonanza tonight aptly titled Lions, Tigers and Brews. Expect to see live brass bands, DJ sets and unlimited three-ounce samples from more than 100 craft breweries at the event. (Central Park Zoo, 8-11pm, $49-$69)
