Chow down on free food at Flavor of the Open
In anticipation of the U.S. Open kicking off Aug 31, a pop-up restaurant featuring some of the signature creations from the Open chefs will pop up today in Grand Central Terminal. Try free samples of lobster rolls, Hill Country's brisket sliders, chopped salad from Maya and tomato bread from Wine Bar Food (while supplies last), then grab free iced coffee from Lavazza and water bottles from Evian. You can even create your own personalized Coke cans (you know, the ones that say "sidekick" and "bro") and take pictures with a replica U.S. Open trophy.
Vanderbilt Hall, Grand Central, 12:30pm, free

Get in the ’90s spirit at Nickelodeon Night with the Brooklyn Cyclones
Do do do you have it? GUTS! It's Wayback Wednesday at MCU Park, and that means for just $25 you get a game ticket and your very own piece of the Aggro Crag, plus a brownbag lunch full of Gushers, Capri Sun and Handi Snax. There's a lot of other fun throwback goodness, like the players who will all be wearing Nickelodeon Guts jerseys, a worst AOL screen name competition and a Dumb and Dumber return the suitcase race. Rad!
